My contribution to the 8th round of Motion Corpse, a collaborative motion graphics project where the first frame of your 5-second animation is designed by an anonymous Motion Designer. All 5 participants must use the same color palette, and your animation must end with the frame you designed and submitted prior to seeing your first frame.
For the second time around at participating in Motion Corpse, I wanted to try some different techniques. I decided to use gradients in the color palette to enhance the 5-color color palette, as well as add more elements to animate. Also, I wanted to make more of a transition from the first frame to my final frame, and include more movement overall.
Sketches of ideas for my last frame, and then transition animation ideas between the 2 frames.
Frame designed by Chris Greene. This frame was his last frame, and my first frame.
Below is the last frame in my animated section, designed by me.
Here’s how the final animation from all 5 participants came together.
